Can't install some games.

Hi,

I'm unable to install some of my games from my steam library. So far I've tried to install "World In Conflict", "Half-Life 1" and "Grand Theft Auto IV", "Metro 2033" and every single time the installation screen just stops at "Preparing [game name] files for install..." and won't go any further.
If I close that window, the in the game list panel on the left, the game will show "installing". Steam crashes everytime I try to "delete" those games from my computer.

So far I've reinstalled steam 3-4 times, completely cleaned system registry from all steam/valve data. I've also tried using my other steam account to download games, but no success.

I've been using steam for over a year without any issues, all the problems started yesterday after I received World in Conflict as a gift.

Yeah I have the same problem with Blood Bowl Chaos Edition. I just bought it 2 days ago, and it gets to Preparing Blood Bowl Chaos Edition files for install... but then it just pops up an error reading "An error occurred while downloading Blood Bowl Chaos Edition. (unknown error)."

If anyone knows what is happening I'd sure appreciate it.

Somehow steam managed to install Half-Life 2. It also got through the "prepare files to install' for World in Conflict but it won't download it.

Removing and Refreshing my steam files worked, and BBCE is now downloading. Thank you very much!

I've submitted a ticket to steam, but I guess it's going to take ages before they respond.
