How do I know if my game is up to date?
I currently have Torchlight 2 and age of empires 2 and 3 installed.

I can seem to find anywhere to show if the game is up to date or not.

Thanks

Any game on steam is always up to date - it's one of the perks of the platform. Any new patches will be automatically downloaded - no effort required

Thanks, so there's nothing to worry about then.

This is how it is supposed to work but for many games Steam is failing to update them when they are launched. Torchlight tells you what version it is when you launch it. CSGO and DOTA2 have this issue a lot. I have also seen it with BO2. Steam is a broken mess these days. Verifying the files forces the game to recognize it needs updated. Verify if in doubt.

Sometime people are using Steam behind a proxy and occasionally will pop out to update their software. For those who want to manually verify that their Steam content is up to date, try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tvzt6SzemHQ

Cheers.
