If the game is older and does not support xInput: Make sure you are on direct Input (D for Direct Input) and launch the profiler software.
If the game supports old Direct Input controllers then you need to use the default profile and set up the controller in game (example, Guilty Gear X2 from GoG.com)/
If the game supports no controllers you will need to make a custom profile for the game. Click on select a game and chose create new game profile. you can either create a batch file to run the game or search in the steam directory for the exe (for FarCry you would go Steam\steamapps\common\farcry\Bin32\FarCry.exe) Then bind the keys you want to each button (for example, if space bar is jump in game you make the button on the controller you want to be jump equal space bar). After you make the profile you only need to have it active you do not need to launch the game through the Logitech Profiler. Launch the game and you should be good to go.
