Sudden FPS drop.

So... i just got my new PC, installed every driver, everything is up-to-date.
When i try to play CS, the FPS is stable ( 100 ) and when i see an enemy or... it happens random... the FPS drops. I need some help :(..

I got and ATI Radeon HD 6670 video card.

It doesn't happen just in Counter Strike 1.6... in other games too. :(

According to that, I can see 2 potential issues.

1) Graphics driver has a newer version available.
2) Your monitor supports 60hz only, but you are outputting 75hz.

Update your AMD graphics driver and change your display settings to 60hz and see if that changes anything in-game.

My screen refresh rate is 75.

I can choose between 60 and 75.

On my old PC that wasn't a problem ... to run at 75Hz. There's no problem with my monitor.

And yes I have the latest driver. I'm thinking if i should down-grade it... an older version maybe ?

Sorry, yes driver is most recent. I was using the 13.3 beta and didn't realise.

Your monitor supports 60hz, not 75hz. Again, change it to 60hz, test the game and see if it helps.

I doesn't look like that. I find this version more usefull...

If i down-grade my graphic card driver will it increase my PC performance ?
