Added an SSD now can't "see" games - BETTER SOLUTION FOUND
I've added a Solid State Drive as my "boot" drive (ie C:/) loaded with Windows etc, and relegated my old primary drive to D:/ ... so now ALL my STEAM games are on D:/ but don't seem to be visable to my Steam client ... I have LOTS and don't really want to download them all again. Any suggestions?

How did you start Steam? Reinstalled it in your fresh windows? Or did you start the Steam.exe in the original location (but now D: instead of C:)

errrr, think I re-installed it onto my fresh C: ... if I just run my D:/???????/steam.exe will that work?

Yes.

Your install of Steam on C:/ is looking for games on the C:/ Drive, whereas your install on D:/ will be looking for games on the D:/ drive.

Thanks - that works - for others who may read this ... had to re-authorise that it was, indeed, "my" account ... and it had to update etc. Seems I can't have both (a C: version, AND a D: version) but as I'd only installed one game onto the "new" drive this is fine. Thx again.

BETTER SOLUTION ... just found ... under "Steam" (ie very top left of Steam screen), click settings from the drop-down ... then DOWNLOADS + CLOUD, then STEAM LIBARY FOLDERS ... and simply add your further drive(s) ... EASY!
