Nvidia gt620 stutters
I can't get my i5 with Nvidia GT620 (1go) to play my Sniper Elite 2 or Just Cause 2 to play properly without stuttering. Plays fine on my old PIV 3,0 with ATI 1go video card. WT...

according to this your GT620 does not meet recommended system requirements for Sniper elite v2.

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=2691&canMyGpuRunIt=Sniper%20Elite%20V2

your card also does not meet recommended requirements for just cause 2.

In short get a better GPU for a more lagless experience.

Cheese and Facedown, you are both full of it. The 620 is capable of running both games easily.

Excuse me? But GT620 can barely run New Vegas on low at 60 fps, what makes you think it can run Bioshock infinite smoothly even on low?

GT620 is capable of running BF3 at very low res.

So no, you are infact wrong.

I did run the benchmark on both of my machines, one on the pIV with ther ATI gpu and again on the i5 with the GT620. The ATI clocked at an average of 18 fps while the GT ran around 6 fps! I used the benchmark from the Sniper Elite V2, A relaxing game to play by the way, love the slo-mo kill cam views with the eyes popping and bits of fingers flying.

18 fps isn't playing fine. That would be lag city! You want 30fps at minimum and shoot for 60+ if possible for smooth game play. Neither card is good for decent video settings and frame rate with modern games. But, yes I love V2 as well. Game is awesome co-op.

Stop spreading BS. The game might start but he likely wants to play it with smooth framerates and something better then 8bit quality. This is a $40.00 card for a reason Here are the cards it benchmarkets against.
Discrete: 6800 Ultra, 7600 GT, 7800 GS, 8600 GS, 8600 GT (GDDR3), 9500 GT (DDR2)
Go (mobile): 7800 GTX, 7900 GTX

Most of these cards are 8 years old. 8 years ago this would have been a fine card if it had been made back then. Now it is sutable for Windows 3D desktop and older games that have very small requirments.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

However neither one of those games requires nuch of a GPU ....... could have setup issues. Buy a new card though. That thing is crap.

The benchmark was really pushing the limit on the card, as well as the processor on the the PIV, it WAS definitely not as smooth as when I'm playing. As for Facedown's suggestion, yeah, I realized that the card is "crap", it's an entry level card for everyday computing, which it does very well. Games are another story, if you want to push a card to it's limit, play a recent game. Looking into a new NvidiaGTX660 or maybe an ATI, though I prefer Nvidia for it's reliability.

Uh, guys, that's a 2GB card, mines a 1 GB card, not quite the same.

You're right, that's even worse.

You got that right! Even worse I pulled out my old portable with its core 2 duo T5550 and its Geforce 8400m GS, Now THAT's worse! It's pretty funny that I'm doing better on a venerable old PIV than with a newer i5.
