The old way doesn't work since Adobe changed their dropdown structures. You can't specify 64-bit or not.
Head to the Archived Versions at: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Scroll down to Flash Player archives and download the latest version there.
Once downloaded, open the zip, open the folder that does not list DEBUG.
Once there, open the appropriate win.msi and install. The .msi is for 64-bit OS. Don't choose the activeX installers since that's specific to IE.
Flash for ActiveX - http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_active_x.exe
Flash plugin for other browsers - http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe
Those are still the 32-bit versions but nobody really needs Flash 64-bit.
1 - Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
2 - Select Windows 7 / Vista / 2008 / 2003 ( or whatever it is your system )
3 - Select " Flash Player for other browsers " <-- Make sure you choose " Other Browsers "
4 - Untick any bloatware that shows up ( McAfee, Chrome, etc )
5 - Download & Install
6 - Restart Steam
Could be why I never have these issues most of you seem to have, or speak of.
I have to 2 systems running steam and both have the same issue.
Try and view content in Big Picture Mode because flash player is working correctly for me there.
Also if flash is working on the web you flash player is working correctly..
Just be a little patiant and steam might do an update soon..
I rly need HELP!
Using Win 7 ( 64 bit )
I use Steam to play Age of Empire on my Windows 7 pc. Does that mean I have Flash installed on my pc?
I just ran Secunia PSI to check that all my programs are up to date and it told me to update flash player. I DO NOT have flash installed. It is not listed in my program list.
Does this mean I have an outdated copy of flash on my computer courtesy of Steam?
