There's no such thing as a tradable spectator client.

But yeah it's dispicable on how they trick people! They should at least explain it in the store page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/570/) or at least put a note on the forums explaining the situation! (http://steamcommunity.com/app/570/discussions/0/882965239636857387/)

There is no Dota 2 Gift that is a spectator client. They are all full games. I give you a 2/10 for effort.

It is not false promotion, Valve said loads of times that after they are out of beta, that anyone who did some purchase on steam will be able to get Dota2 free, also they said several times for spectator client that it is for observing and not playing games. And also if it sais that you alredy own it, you were probably invited in Dota2 beta and if you didnt alredy you will get it pretty soon...
