Non Steam Games do not continue to display the status of In game.
To clearify when you launch a game it shows up under your status that your in a game. I wanted to add a non steam game such as Diablo 3 but when I click on it and displays for a short second under status "In Non Steam game Diablo 3" then dissappears quickly. The shortcut will work but the current status shows that you're just "online" and in no game session. Does this for other Non Steam games. In other words it displays for a shot bit and then goes back to a "online status" were as Steam games stay in that In game status when played.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Under properties for the Non-Steam game I went to properties and changed the path to the .exe and it still only displays for second then goes back to the "Online" status instead of displaying I'm in the game. So it loads the launcher but it only shows for a second then goes away. Does this for other games as well.

I get the same thing, did you ever fix this?

"(install path)\Diablo III.exe" -launch

The launch bit is what you're missing to make Diablo 3 run with the overlay.

The same thing applies to StarCraft 2 and WoW.

Other games that use a launcher tend to have this problem, but not all of them.

No never did and I don't like how Steam seems proprietary with certain games that only will record in game time.

Really cause Fallout 3 was bought off Steam and it won't record your game time unless you play vanilla only game, meaning you can't run Fallout script extender and it record your time but Fallout New Vegas you can. It's stupid, I've looked and tried the resolutions people had for running FO3 with the FOSE and it only works temp then stops recording time. Even with running launch options and or changing the file name from fose_fallout.exe to Fallout Launcher it won't work later found out it's something with STeam and script extender. I can understand non-steam games like what I was talking about but I've notice this with FO3 too.
