Yes it is. You can walk into any gamestop here in the US and buy one.
The controller is nto Xinput compatible
Therefore go to whatever website you're using to hack Xinput into the controller. Posting a list is pointless. Go to Xpadder or x360ce instead.
http://kotaku.com/playstation-4-controller-is-pc-compatible-for-basic-fu-1441725631
But then a list is still pretty redundant. Either the drivers are Xinput compatible or theyre not. Its still silly to make a list of compatible games, since as long as the drivers work, everything that uses Xinuput should work.
If you're going to make a list make a list of incompatibilities since that list is likely a lot smallwr
Retail availability: November 15th 2013. You're likely mistaking it for Dualshock 3. Why would they be selling Dualshock 4 controllers before the PS4 is available?
It's not shipping with Xinput support, nowhere in the article does it say that:
"Joystiq, which noticed the Tweet yesterday afternoon, points out that many non-Microsoft controllers show up as Xbox controllers on a Windows PC because they have the Xinput API, which the DualShock 3 lacks. Yoshida didn't go into more detail on how the DualShock 4 registers to a PC, or what functions it will have out of the box."
Since Xinput is a proprietary Microsoft API, it's highly unlikely. The articles site "basic functionality" which likely means it will show up as "generic gamepad" like every other non-Microsoft console controller. It would be nice if it did comply with Xinput standards but nowhere does it say anything of the sort.
Edit:
Just saw an article today that said Amazon started shipping them so, apparantly they ARE selling them before the console is released. From reading the user comments, the controllers are NOT Xinput, so you would still need 3rd party 360 controller emulation software as with the DS3. The PS4-specific features such as the trackpad do not work at all on PC (yet).
Avoid Motion In Joy like the plague
Just get a wired/wireless xbox controller or a Logitech F310/F710

I'd sooner take out a billboard in Time Square and post all my personal and online information on it, than use MotionInJoy
