the problem is that you have to fix you're router in website:
1.You write in website (which is in URL) your IP address,
2.Username:admin/router Pass:admin/router,
3.Go to Firewall,
4.When you see a Firewall Option set it Low because it was set it to High and the application servers (which is Game Servers) wont work.
I'm sure this is the answer 10000% CAUSE it happened to me to and it worked.
For those who have router Technicolor you'll find quickly.
Contact me for more of these problems.
i tried something and it works with me.
Rest your modem or router to Factory Default.
hope this works with you too.
The problem is stil relevant 7 years later, and this thread has a lot of useful answers. Necroing it helps to keep it findable on some browsers.
But luckily i backed up all my wifi passwords two days ago for no reason :D
So if you don't want to lose them, back them up first.
so i dont know what to do
this was the only thing that seemed to work for me. Along with opening the port 80 on windows.
go to seachbox on windows and type "run", once there type:
"netsh int ip reset" and press enter
"netsh winsock reset" and press enter
then execute the command prompt as administrator and type:
"ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter
"ipconfig /registerdns" and hit enter
"ipconfig /release" and hit enter
"ipconfig /renew" and hit enter
Then restart the PC and it should work. I hope it avoids some pain to someone out there!
Putting down the firewalls only allowed me to get back on Steam but not my MMOs.
I happned to have this problem when my Battle.net bugged and by following the assistance i uninstalled it then tried to reinstall it but it failed : progress was stuck at beginning. I tried every fixes i could find about it but nothing worked and i fear that these fixes broke my internet with the rest.
Yea same for me . I tried everything on this thread but nothing moved around here. I am currently in a campus in Amsterdam and the wi fi here is used by everyone in here and probably theis is the reason why the connection to the game servers won't connect.
I would like to know how can i bypass and be able to help myself to get a stable connection to the game servers given the facts above.
P.S. the wi fi is working incredible fine.
