[SOLVED] Trailer videos maximize button is limited by the Steam window size

Since reinstalling I no longer have the ability to view the trailer videos in full screen, while using the Steam client.

When pressing the maximize / full screen button in the flash video player it will maximize the video --within-- the Steam client window .. not the entire screen.

I've copied the URL and tried the same video within Chrome and Internet Explorer where I have no problem to view in true full screen.

Is there a setting that I'm missing?

Me too, ever since I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8. I am wondering if it is a setting in the OS? No problem with Youtube though.

having same issue, was trying to find some options etc, updated some drivers, nothing works

Found a fix....installing Silverlight resolved it.

I rather not install Silverlight as it's a discontinued product from Microsoft. Found any other solution?

I don't remember doing anything, just noticed it went back to full screen. I did delete some local content to free up space, and added some games.

Same problem. If open the stats page, then I can see the following message
If you wish to view these stats, you will need to Download the Flash plugin.
If click on this link, I see
Note: Adobe Flash Player is already installed, but disabled. Click here for more information.
But to enable it, need to open a page about:flags
Windows 8.1
