Not able to start pool nation - Error loading game.dll

Hi

Just installed Pool Nation but i'm not able to start the game. Get the error Message:
Error loading game DLL <game.dll>
I've tried to reinstalled the game, but same issue. Please help

I have tried to verify integrity of ceche but it still doesen´t work.
And i think this computer is just to bad for the game to be honest. But its not my own computer so its not really a problem for me.

I have the same problem... I really want to play the game but the exact same error shows up =(
I've already tried 'verify integrity of cache' - it didn't help.

Game worked fine pre-launch, somehow i was playing before not sure why, then i did 2 things, updated windows 8 to new 8.1, + game patched, when i ran game after this it was all in 3D, not sure how that happend, then i verified files, game does not work, even if i unistall and reinstall, noticed 2 things, when game is reinstalled no first time setup, and on the Anti-Ans setting, all i see is none, saw x2,x4,x8 before now gone, any ideas?????

I know someone else had a problem when they updated to Windows 8.1. You may need to go into your graphics card settings and turn 3D off in there, should stop it looking all 3D. The game should work then.

As for the .dll file missing, were looking into it at the moment but I hope you can appreciate that it is difficult to track down things like this when it works for the vast majority of people but not for a select few. Is the file actually present within the download directory for the game assets on your computer?

Yes, the file is present.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Pool Nation\Game.dll

The "game start menu" does not give me the option to choose the nvida nvs card, only the intel hd 4000 (have a lenovo T530)

You probably have Nvidia Optimus on your notebook, even tho it doesn´t show the correct driver loading, it uses the Nvidia Card.

Had the identical problem (Error loading game DLL) on my HP Pavillion G6 laptop, after downloading THIS[www.microsoft.com] It started up right away, thanks man!! Easiest fix to anything I've ever done!! =D

my wife also had that problem with her mobile card....we just installed pinballFX 2. It had the proper DirectX runtimes in its install package. Worked like a charm.

to fix the problem, install the Directx 11, to download site by the http://www.softsea.com/download/DirectX-Redistributable.html


I'm using WINDOWS7, and worked perfectly for me.
