red tinted games external screen Windows 8.1

Hi all,

first time poster here as I can't seem to find a solution online I am looking to experienced gamers for guidance. I have updated to windows 8 this afternoon, and ever since then when I play games using an external screen( in this case my TV), as soon as I start a game, you can see the game loading then suddenly the screen goes essentially a red tint and does not go away.

Aside from searching extensively online for any solutions, I have tried to play the games on the laptop itself, which is successful, no red tint. I have tried updating my drivers to no avail, I have even messed with the settings on the TV but am positive the problem is not that of the TV. Everything is fine on the external screen until I start any game.

If anyone else has experienced this and has a solution I would be greatful if you could help me out, thanks guys.

You rightclick your desktop, click "Nvidia" and there it's quite obvious.
