Cant use the "F" keys

I just got this, and some games require that you use the "F" keys (F1, F2...) to open certain menus, but when I press them, instead of opening the menu it just minimizes the game and brings up whatever windows function that key has. How do I change that so it will just bring up the in game menu as opposed to the windows function?

Do you have a blue function keys that may be necessary to press at the same time that your press the coorsponding function key your requireing. If you have a HP then you can adjust that function or switch them over in your Bios aka Setup menu when you boot your machine. Have you checked there to see if there toggle needs to be changed from one to the other? Just a suggestion.

Yea, If you are on a laptop you may have a feature called function lock which basically allows you to freely press any of the blue function keys with out holding down the FR key. Finding this and toggling it off may solve your problem.

that's a good point too. I don't have blue keys on my laptop but g4m3 sh4rk has got a good point there. What model computer you have these issues with? What type. Maybe we can be of more assistance if we had more data.

Try holding the fn key in the bottom left of the key board and pushing the Function Key, I have a mac and that works, something like that may apply to your laptop.

I have compaq Presario CQ62 and windows seven, but I got it by holding the "fn" key and the function key and also by changing it in settings. Thanks guys
