You've recently funded your steam wallet using a new payment method. You'll be unable to use the market for a few days while the funds are verified.
C'mon!!! I used my gfs credit card to add funds ($10.00) this time and now I get this error. I don't really want to wait 7 days.. no reason for that at all. I been adding funds since skins came out, I don't see why this now would be a problem. I get the whole safety procedure, but c'mon.

Please help me out valve!

I been with steam for 10 years, never had any issues!

It is literally only when you use a new payment method (i believe even if your card expires and a new one used instead. To avoide this i try to use paypal and just update my payment options on paypal as and when needed.
Use your own credit card next time.

Also selecting paypal as an option and then using yours or your partners paypal still counts as using the same payment method (paypal) it does not distinguish between users of paypal.

lol, I would have but she insisted so I didn't argue :P

Ugh, I'll do that next time I ever decide to change cards. So frustrating!

Hopefully someone from steam can help me out!
@Paging Drunken F00l!!!

I made a ticket as well, but from talking to some people and hearing from some people, the support system isn't very helpful :X

Steam Support will not remove the restriction early. You'll just have to wait until the 168 hour restriction is over.

For future reference, here is the list of criteria that must be met to make use of Steam Trading and the Steam Market:

  • Made a successful purchase on Steam between 30 and 365 days ago.
  • Have had Steam Guard activated on the device being used to trade from for the past 15 days.
  • Have used the same password for the past 7 days.

As you have already learned, using a new payment method on Steam (for example, a different debit/credit card to normal) can also trigger a 7 day trade restriction. After 7 days, the payment method will be considered "trusted" and the restriction will be lifted.

It's because begging on the forum or @support isn't going to get them to undo a security measure intended to prevent fraud. The 7 days are there for a reason.

There is no way round it - if you used a new payment method you have to wait the seven day period before using that money on the market. Contacting Steam support about it is a waste of their time and yours.

From the Trading and Market restrictions article -> https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1047-EDFM-2932

Please note that Steam Support cannot remove these restrictions from an account.

Okay... well that sucks. Now when I use my own credit card again I won't get another restriction will I....?
