when i try to record games the recording is just a black screen

im using debut vid capture and hyper cam once i have selected the game the ingame recording is blank . the only vid capture software that works is fraps trail .Any one tell me what im doing wronge

Maybe the recording software just doesn't work with games. Try a game that allows choosing a "windowed" display instead of "fullscreen" to see if that works.

Technically, a "fullscreen" display is something special -- it still has a window internally, but that window isn't used for display anymore. You can also see that in the taskbar preview -- it doesn't show anything useful either. So, if the recording software records that window then it will be useless for games.

ah i tryed recording blood bowl and that play's in windows .Do you now any free soft ware im trying to record wh40 space marines
