How can I enable the Steam overlay on an mmo?
I want to enable it for RaiderZ so I can take screenshots and whatnot, but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. Help?

Add the game as non steam game shortcut and load your game via steam. If the overlay doesn't open then the overlay is not compatible with this game.

Well do I add the launcher or another type of file? I've seen people take TERA screenshots but it never worked for me.

Add the exe that starts the game , if thats the launcher then add that then load the game from the steam game list.
Yeah that didn't work. Didn't work for TERA either but still I have friends that take screenshots of a bunch of MMOs including that one. I'll just ask them when they get online. thanks anyways.

At first, I couldn't successfully add TERA as a non-Steam if my life depended on it. The overlay just wouldn't work, and it didn't even show my status as playing a non-Steam game. Neither the EXE nor the launcher worked.

However —right before I gave up — I set its compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3). This seemed to have done the trick. Now, TERA appears correctly, just like other non-Steam games. Taking screenshots, however, still doesn't work.

Maybe you'll have more luck with RaiderZ. It's worth a shot!
