Purchased games is trying to make me buy it again

Hello, i need help really. I purchased this game thru my paypal acc then 1 month later i reformatted my laptop deleting all datas. As far i as i know once you bought a game in your acc you will not buy it again but im having that problem. When i go to my purchase history it shows me nothing. Please help me

Purchase history doesn't disappear, you're on the wrong account. Search your email for a purchase receipt, it should have the login name of your account (not to be confused with your profile name).

Just to rule it out, did you buy it on Steam or was it a key from a 3rd party site that you activated on Steam?
