Steam recordings not being able to be deleted.
I took a recording of a game for the first time to test the steam recording feature which is actually pretty nice.
However when I go to delete the recording, I open the screenshot and recording manager where you can see all of your screenshots and recordings (duh). When I right click on the recording and select delete, it asks me if I am sure if I want to delete it, and I press delete, and the message disappears, but the recording is still in the screen shot manager.
When I try to delete screenshots from the same manager, it give me the same "are you sure you want to delete this" prompt, and I press delete and it works totally fine.

Why am I not able to delete recordings the same way that I can delete screenshots?
(even though I should be able to because it's already a feature, but it just doesn't work.)

1. Restart Steam
Close and reopen Steam to reset any temporary glitches that may be affecting the deletion process.
2. Check Steam Cloud Sync
Sometimes, recordings are synced with Steam Cloud. Make sure that the sync process is finished, and try again after ensuring the sync is complete.
3. Manually Delete Recordings
Go to your Steam installation folder and manually navigate to the folder where recordings are saved. Typically, the location is:
mathematica
Copy
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[UserID]\760\remote\[GameID]\video
Try deleting the recordings directly from this folder.
4. Clear Steam Cache
In some cases, clearing the Steam cache can fix issues with features like screenshots or recordings not updating properly:
Go to Steam Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.
5. Check for Updates
Make sure Steam is up to date. Sometimes, issues like this can be resolved in newer updates.
If these steps work, great! If not, consider reaching out to Steam support for more assistance.

If this was helpful, we'd really appreciate your support!:luv:
