Account Hijacking/wallet emptying, any tips?
So, in preparation to make a large purchase i put some money on my steam account, and to my dismay, i woke up the next morning to find my account emptied via marketplace transaction. through a now deleted middleman account (i assume to shield scammers identity), that i had no chance to deny or reject the purchase, in response to this I have taken the precautionary steps of changing (and reinforcing my password); disabling all authorized devices, getting the steam mobile app, clearing potential malware and etc.

besides securing my account is it possible in any way to re-obtain the currency lost from the hijacking? Because from my brief looking into polices steam seems unwilling to restore marketplace transactions, and i cannot report the scammer as the aforementioned account was deleted after the transaction.

any tips or policy loopholes would help a lot, every helpful character is worth it's weight in GOLD to me right now!

Re-secure your account.

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
