A help advice for hacked accounts
hello , on 13th of December a hacker got into all of my emails , signed in via them through all of my accounts , changed the email and passwords of them all , luckily steam were the only people who responded to me and returned back my account, but for both epic games and Ubisoft account, i gave them every single detail that proves i am the owner of the account , and still they say that they couldn't prove that as they think that i either give them some of my information wrong , or they cant recover it due to security concerns , does anyone have an advice , because its the 5th time i raise a ticket to each of them .

I can’t think of a moment more suited to a Game of Thrones quote.

I’m really sorry to hear about the hacking issues you're dealing with. Recovering accounts after such an attack can be difficult, but here are some steps you can take:

1. **Double-Check Account Recovery Steps**:
- Ensure you've followed all the account recovery steps for Epic Games and Ubisoft correctly. Make sure you've provided any required documents (like proof of purchase) or other forms of identification they may ask for. Sometimes, confirming payment methods or a valid CD key helps the process.

2. **Escalate the Support Ticket**:
- Since this is the 5th time you’re raising a ticket, ask for your case to be escalated to a higher level of support or a supervisor. Be polite but firm, explaining the importance of recovering your accounts. Mention that you have provided all the necessary information and have not received a resolution.

3. **Check for Account Activity Logs**:
- If possible, check your account activity logs (some platforms like Epic and Ubisoft allow you to see login history). This can help prove that the accounts were accessed by unauthorized parties.

4. **Secure Your Accounts**:
- While waiting for account recovery, ensure that all your other accounts (email, bank, etc.) are secured. Change passwords to strong, unique ones and enable **two-factor authentication (2FA)** wherever possible to protect against future hacks.

5. **Submit Evidence**:
- If you haven't already, provide any other evidence like email addresses, IP addresses, or location history where you might have used the accounts. Anything that proves you are the owner can help.

6. **Reach Out on Social Media**:
- If traditional support isn’t working, try reaching out to Epic Games or Ubisoft via their **official social media accounts** (Twitter, Facebook). Sometimes, this can expedite the process.

7. **Consult with a Lawyer**:
- If your account holds significant value (e.g., purchased games or digital items), you might want to consider consulting with a lawyer to explore legal options.

Account recovery can take time, but being persistent and providing all the necessary information can help you regain access. Keep following up with support, and hopefully, you’ll get your accounts back soon.

If this was helpful, I’d appreciate your support!:luv:

Completely unnecessary. OP wasn’t hacked, simple as that.

dear 𝙸𝚛𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚗 𝙳𝚞𝚗𝚎𝚍𝚊𝚒𝚗
why do you attack me that way , why do you act as if you know already what happened ? as if you have been there where you were not, if you can help please do , if you cant , either give me an advice , or don't attack or blame me for something bad happened to me, would you be happy if your account got hacked and you couldn't do anything about it ?!!

That's the neat thing - there won't be a "hack attack". Because that's not what happened.

As I’ve pointed out before, you’ve carelessly shared your login details online.

i never do that already ! i have not even used my account for long time due to my work , and i cant be risking my account with that stupid move , my accounts were already used ever since i was in the E sports team at university, so i know already the importance of the security ! , what happened is somebody hacked my email ! signed in to mi accounts , then changed the email and the password , the hacker even got my linked in account , and many other info, thank goodness that i could retrieve many of the stuffs back.
one more thing ! the hacker later communicated with me , telling me that he is tracking YouTubers and he have seen my channel , and he is used to do that with many people , he even wanted me to pay money in order to return back my account .
see !! i am not that reckless !! i got attacked by someone when i didnt have access to the internet to be notified .

Well, if you say so, it must be true. You must be the first person whose account was hacked. That explains why you couldn’t do anything about it. Anyone can fall victim to hackers who target them. Good thing you pointed that out. I didn’t know that hackers could actually take someone’s account. You really do learn something new every day ...

I would write something like that if there was even the slightest bit of truth to it. But since we know there aren’t hackers who can just randomly steal your account. Seems like you’ve also handed over your login details to your email account to strangers.

But we all know that Phase 1 is primarily about denial ...

lets get this straight , iam a person who understands internet security issues very well cause i know the amount of destruction it can cause , and its near impossible that i gave someone any of my data , cause simply , even if it is not related to gaming account , a hacker may steam your email , commit a crime with it in a certain country and flea away while you will be the one who will be in person for that , i have seen many things like this , specially when i was in Russia , somebody stole my friend's email and then hacked the system of cberbank , and the police got my friend for it , and we had long time to prove the truth , besides , hackers now don't require passwords anymore , there are more advanced methods they can use to brake through .

It hardly seems so.

You'll manage. Eventually.
