Black Myth: Wukong suddenly drop fps to 8

Hello,

I just bought Black Myth: Wukong and the first day worked fine, played 30 40 min ( 60-80 fps max settings). Yestarday start the game and fps was 8 or 10.. I tried to reinstal the game and start new game. In just the first part of the game ( when start new game and fight with something like tutorial), the fps is normal. After the game beggining the fps drop below 10 and it's not playable.

Has anyone experienced this?

GPU: RX 7900 XT

Try Reinstall GPU drivers, look like a windows core update that require gpu reinstall to fix it.

This is know as mayber a ripple effect,
windows core update take precidens over current install gpu driver,
and even same newest gpu driver need to fix it so it work with what they need it to be.

I and other wll not keep ask make sure BIOS and Chipset driver is installed.
they are seen as Mandatory so window learn what Brand board know is best.

I assume you know its Main card is primary GPU card is selected, in OS as default and in game or game own launcher config, ( Bethesda is one of them with own config settings ) other game devs use them also but not so easy to remember them all.

Most have a app or in windows control panel just like Nvidia has it's there

Any AMD user here, that can help Lady icon user. with its AMD settings if she don't solve this meanwhile.

Also check if games has own settings, lets assume its has reset its own settings.

Or ask game own hub forum they most know there if it use windows default setting or have own config with it.

This evening I will purchase the game again, and will check if RT stay ON by mistake. Because at the beggining I tried with RT ON (FPS doesn't drop at all), but now I saw in some discussion that it's not ON till restart the game... So it's possible to stay RT ON, and yesterday when start the game, the RT option was ON really.

Well most dont refund a game they like, just becuase there is a configuration issue.

I also think you might have a game need acces rights to it configurations in document folder.

This is know as thirdpart app need folder permission ( you can find 100,000+ post across many games with this i think today, this was ransom ware raised security issue taht cause this.
even old games from the past require access to its files in Document folder, and old game will not get fixed because security issue has done this.

I assume this is also past of the issue if game configurations will not be remember or loaded.

Dont forget we other learn this over the many years, sur eit help with education or work with security, but blocking was also there before Ransom ware issue.

You need to add game own ".exe" name + steam.exe to make sure steam is allowed and its game in top of ths if there more issue with it.

i can only best guess why Games own setting has issue or access to it.

No its not Document but user profil location, very odd you have issue with its GPU card settings
you need someone that has the game to help you or you check this out yourself.

If you dont have 8fps anymore then you have solve it.

You can cancel refund if this is better for you then buy it again.

I think its odd you have low fps in 1 game only and all other is working, could you have selected wrong gpu card in game own setting or launcher config..

You might ask OWN game forum they should know this, i dont have the game so i cant check this for you.

Dont feel bad, can happend to anyone, alot of steam user change gpu card and dont get games own launcher or forgot it was there you select past GPU card.

I actually changed all PC last week. I've not changed GPU in launcher (don't know about this option). It's odd that the game worked perfectly when bought it, and in the next day 8 fps... I've not changed any settings or drivers.
