Steam's capped my download speed.

1. I have checked with and made sure everything in the "Steams Downloads" settings tab is where it is meant to be

2. I have used Uplay, RSI, Origin, Epic Games launcher, all of these download at 125MB/s and no not megabits and I have also done a few speedtests sites, all are getting my exact download speed.

3. I've watched 6-10 videos all stating the same thing "Check your downloads tab, change your servers, change this setting to this" None of those videos work, covering the same topic, with the same solutions. Also a fair amount of comments stating the same thing, "Videos dont work"

4. I've contacted steam support and they said "Could be a lot of problems" and then closed the ticket. No support, no answers no questions.

I have tried restarting my pc, restarting my router, launch steam in and out of admin mode.

Change steam DL zone, you still struggel with all other steam user into steam and whatever ISP bandwide line is into steam.

And then steam has sale event lines get busy, look at steam servers , they are not the issue its the ISP network to it.

and this is why you keep to yourself if you find other DL Zone is better for you.

your ISP is also your ISP partners partner into steam.

That's definitely the most overstated incorrect answer usually of this whole oredeal, I've swapped to 5-6 different states and 3 different countries, and ive even used my VPN, which no, I dont have on 24/7

Test with other pc then, dont get count in own software or hardware that limit you DL speed.

See other steam post so many of them and most dont have a pc that can write fast enough.

problemn is now shold be in normal client now, maybe get out of beta client.

Dude I’m having the same issue I have a Gig up Gig down but just updating any steam game it’s running at 3-5 Mbps for some reason. Called my ISP and they don’t throttle content, I’m lost at this point I use to download at 600-700 Mbps but the last two night I can’t even download one game.

What video are you talking about? did you find a unique video that states a different answer? I don't have super powers I dont and other wont just know what you mean when you say "The video fixes the issue" I said that the videos I watched talking about "Steam Capped" download speeds, they all state the same "Fixes" but none of them are.

No, not "We" someone might know the answer, you just don't, thats the whole idea of making a post, to have someone with the answer stumble on it and give a solution. You aren't the main character here, just because you don't know what or why this is happening, then dont be commenting or spamming. You had answers that might fix some peoples issues, but its certainly not the case for all posts.

Glad to see I am not the only one experiencing this at the moment. My speeds are extremely slow compared to other launchers. I pay for 1 gig symmertical and I am currently downloading games at less than 1 Mb/s. If you guys end up noticing your speeds return post on here. It has to be an issue with steam itself.
