Okay, where do I click to mark a game for the hidden file?
Do you mean how to mark games? The same how you mark stuff in windows, if you want to mark a whole list from top to bottom you leftclick on the first game and scroll all the way to the last one you want to mark, hold shift and leftclick the last game. Now the entire list is market.
If you want to mark individual games, keep ctrl pressed and select them individually.
Or did you mean where to rightclick? On any of the market games.
If you agree the license will be deactivated.
Contrary to the "permanently" description it is not really permanent. If you want the game back at any time in the future just select the game again on the Support page and choose " Its not in my library". Steam then will inform you that your previously deactivated the license for the game and asks you if you want to restore it.
If you confirm the game is back in your library.
Games you just normally "hide" with a right click and "hide this game in my library" still count for your GAMES list on your profile and will show up in your account stats like unlocked achievements and such.
Games you "remove" with the option on the Support page will no longer show up in your GAMES list and their stats will be invisible on your profile.
In the end its just "hiding" and "hiding harder" .
this means you have judge and sorted all them games not worth your time.
Problem with hide games is, compleated games and other games atm, you have done this with.
and later you might forget why you hide each game.
ps.
Dont forget post has been replied by the others, but i see things diffrently, other like me that has work with 100.000 or more entry of data, there is no one way only to fix how data get process or sorted. ( im sure im not the only pc user that has sorting data at work or own home data. )
other tip same as make a not sorted category in collection, because every time you buy new games it will merge wih the others, and now you have to locate the new games, you get it then you do it, to locate games among so many other not sorted is more annoying then you think, and make a dump folder with it actual make it easier.
yes its sounds stupid, just wait to you see why its a cleaver idea. ( its actual part of make a system then, you have no idea where to start the sorting )
gl with it. ( no matter what you do, sorting data aient funny then you have so much of it. ) and we keep buy games same time.
I once "removed" like 3000 games from my account. Just need a bit of time.
Of course restoring them all a few months later when i wanted them back was NOT fun.
Ok, where on this page do I click to start the process of hiding this game? I have clicked everything looking for a drop down menu with a hide option and found nothing.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/541210/Cold_Waters/
Furthermore, there is no "Hide This" button on the page.
I have also looked at the page that lists all of my games and found nothing.
the new steam way , so you can focus own favorites or other way make a collection of a game type you will make.
There are games that dont have same name, and the are sequel. ( collection is the only way ) unless you edit steam , but we have seen them get rested.
If you're wanting hidden as in not even see on the account, go the Support page, type the name of the game you want hidden, click on it and you should see among the options "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". It's what we call an "advanced hide" as it just deactivates the license but you can always restore it later without having to buy it again.
Let me guess, you went to your profile and clicked on games instead of opening your library to look at your actual list of games? Otherwise my description on how to hide leaves no openings to even misunderstand...
I don't know man, but I wouldn't feel good to recommend someone to remove a game from their account saying they can restore it later, if they don't even know what/where the library is. If he wants to restore any game later, he'll never find out how to do it.. haha
