Looking for an old game - Help II

I’m looking for help finding an old video game from the late '90s or early 2000s (approximately). In the past, I’ve had success with the Steam community’s help in tracking down other games so I’m hoping for the same luck this time! I’ve already posted about a different game so don’t be alarmed, this isn’t spam.

I played this game between 2003 and 2007. It was a top-down racing game where you raced against AI opponents. One map I remember was set in a rural area. While driving the cars you could pick up various items that could be used for boosts or as weapons. I specifically remember being able to spill oil on the road. That was essentially the core premise of the game, but unfortunately I can’t recall much else.

Any feedback is always appreciated.

90 thats not many game on steam from that era, look like maybe a box game, sure steam many game devs might have added or update it later, you sure its on PC even ? i mean 90 was also c64 & amiga & pc

And dont forget top down racer was already under pressure from 3D view, so are we talking about them car game on table or other see as arcade types, most of them names is forgotten until ppl name them.

Not even i can remember top down race car games, this mean the 3D games with car game has take over here, atleast for me. ( sounds of one of them mario cars game , hey i know other game was there first im talking about reference not mario car in itself.

alot of F1 version
Test driver.
and later alot of NFS and things like that

and other crazy games but they are 3D view, even Lotus from amiga, and that why them games you talk about is gone and outdate or should i have said we other had moved on to 3D view.

Gl find that top down race game from the past and no i will not google search for you.


point is most here will call them arcade games, not race games, and thats a problem then so many other games had 3D view. ( things have change in the timeline in category and we also get older and preference change with it.

Make sure you know the diffrence OP here with 3rd part view is also 3D view and should not be compare with top down view like GTA 1 & 2 even. but they are not race games.

The game itself was a top-down, 2D experience (just to make it more clear). The premise of the game looks similar, but it's not it. Thanks you for contributing.

Try google arcade race game maybe thats the category for them.

This is the game in question, thank you for the help! I was not able to find it for some reason while searching the database.
