connecting to a network

so a game i got was asking for permission to connect to public and private network i canceled it by accident now my game wont connect to steam network. What do i do to fix this?

Consult the manual of either your OS or the software that is blocking the connection.

If that's about the standard Windows firewall, open the settings, type "firewall" into the search box at the top. Select "Allow an app through Windows firewall" from the result list that shows up below as you type.

Select "change settings" in the window (requires admin privileges), find the game in the list, and adjust the checkboxes as needed.
