Steam Client WebHelper

Is anyone else having the problem where the Steam Client WebHelper (steamwebhelper.exe) uses up alot of CPU , RAM and Power?

My Steam app on my pc simply freezes up for seconds up to minutes sometimes to the point I have to use Task Manager to close down Steam Client WebHelper so that Steam can load back up.

Is this some bug with Steam?

That's a Chromium issue and it will affect low-end systems that are on its last legs compatibility wise.

mine i s a brand new comp alienware top of the line

Clear Download cache has effect on it and so do delete web browser user data.

And you can reduce steam usgae of its resources, even that help , and stop animation has also had some user that complain over it,

Animation is your pc that need to do it, so this is can be seen as heavy then page has run all night, or something like that. ( still dont rulreout have best newest GPU driver installed. and have windows update.


same goes with no to gpu accelration, also seem to effect this, ( and same do dual gpu card or should i said IGPU then youy have main card , turn it off in device manager or BIOS menu,

pleanty of steam post spread out among many steam post already explan this.
