Profile Awards, what is it for?

I won some prizes from the profile, but I don't know what it's for, it also shows that they are points, but in the Steam points store it doesn't show the same balance. If anyone can explain this to me I would appreciate it.

Wait 14 days for the award to come in. Points are only for point store. You can buy awards for others with your points, too.

People earn Steam Points through game purchases.

These Steam Points can be used to award other people for things like comments, profile, and content such as Workshop items, screenshots, and artwork.

You get one third of the points spent after 14 days of receiving the award. For example, "Heartwarming" costs 300 points to give, and the person receiving it will get 100 points after 14 days.

Other than awards, Steam Points can be only used in the Steam Shop, for sprucing up your profile page, or in seasonal badges that change twice a year.

Ive heard than we can buy game profile for ourself its like theme and it cost between 5-10k point You can also buy avatar ,avatar frame, background animated and mini background animated too
and you can get point from getting community award from other people or buy games and purchase ingame things
I saved 4k point myself and hope hit 5k soon to get my first profile award xd
