My SteamDeck isn’t charging or iv got black screen

I think it was flat , started charging just a few minutes & then the screen has gone black ( the main stream deck opening screen) it’s got the blue light next to the power button but the blue light is flashing & been a hour of charging know , does anyone know if the charging blue light should be solid & not flashing? Taking the charger out & still won’t turn on ,
So basically can anyone plz let me no if the blue light should be solid & is there a way to do a force or hard reset on the deck ? Or is it a case of Just pressing the power button , it’s driving me mad

Tried that m8 , I thought there might be a way like my iPhone to do a hard reset, also I don’t think the blue light next to the power button is flashing like it’s not staying just a solid blue , like it looks unpaired but with what , lucky iv still got 3 months warranty on the steam deck , sometimes I’m hearing a beep noise off the deck , thanks for the quick help m8

if the power button flashes when you press it that means the battery is dead. does the power button light, light up when you plug a charger in?

try connecting it to a computer using the provided USB-C cable. This might help initiate a connection and recognize the device.

Sorry everyone, good idea Manc , it kind of works Takes a day to charge so glad it’s turned on & only need a charger

Sorry thanks Geese & Manc yes it was staying solid then flashes , tried the ps5 controller charge cable it’s solid blue & no flashes but it’s charging so slow , think I still need a new charger ,
