Issue with Persona 4 Golden Global Key Activation on Kinguin.net
Recently, I purchased a Persona 4 Golden key on Steam from GamingWorld, a Super Seller, on Kinguin.net with Global activation (Order ID: TA266EE1B106). The listing clearly stated it could be activated in my country, Brazil. However, when I try to redeem the product, it says it cannot be activated where I live.

I contacted the seller and provided proof that the activation should work based on the product’s region restrictions, but after that, they stopped responding. I also reached out to Kinguin support, but it’s been over a day, and I still haven’t received any updates.

I’ve attached images showing the issue. Ideally, I’d like a replacement key since I really want the game, but if that’s not possible, I’d appreciate a refund.

Has anyone dealt with a similar problem, especially with a Super Seller on Kinguin.net? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you paid by bank card or PayPal do a chargeback. You have a legitimate reason to do so.

You're buying a key from the current Humble Monthly, you could have persona and 7 other games for $12

Anyway, the seller is probably from Europe, most EU keys are ROW but for this particular game it's locked to EU countries only.

Stop using dodgy marketplaces to buy games. Persona 4 has been very cheap in retailers recently and there you are guaranteed a region-appropriate key.

I've bought a few games from Kinguin before and never had any issues. In this case, the game cost me around $5 after conversion, which isn't a huge amount, but still, no one likes losing money. I guess I'll take this as a lesson not to buy from there again.

Unfortunately, I made the payment using a service exclusive to Brazil called Pix, so I don't think I'll be able to get my money back. It was about $5, which isn’t a lot, but still, losing money is never a good feeling.

Stick to legit retailers found here https://isthereanydeal.com/

Marketplaces are always risky and for every 3 games you make a good saving on, the 4th could be a scam and then you lose your money which negates the original savings.

7 – Is it possible to request a refund or cancel a transaction carried out with Pix?

As the transactions with Pix will occur in real-time, they cannot be canceled. However, it is possible to request the recipient a refund.

It is also possible to change the amount to be paid or cancel the transaction before confirming the payment. In special cases, such as fraud, the Central Bank has developed a transaction called in Portuguese, Mecanismo Especial de Devolução (MED), or Special Return Mechanism in English.

Grey market sites that are not officially licensed key sellers are like russian roulette. It's harmless the first few times, until there's a bullet in the chamber.

I managed to get a refund, but only as store credit on their site. Better than nothing, I guess. Hahaha
