How to clear Workshop folder if mods don't shop up on Steam?
So I found that Workshop folder on my PC takes up 30 gigs of space. I know this is where mods go, but thing is, I don't remember if I used any mods?
From what I've learned, if I try to delete this folder from my PC, Steam will try to download mods again next time it launches. So how do I delete this folder permanently if I can't figure out what's taking up all this space?

You need to figure out which of the installed games is responsible for this. Otherwise client will redownload subscribed mods.

Question: to check if a game has mods installed, do I need to check somewhere within my steam library or workshops subscriptions?
A followup: if no installed games have mods, does it mean it's safe to delete the folder on my PC, since those files aren't really connected to anything anymore?

Steam/steamapps/workshop; there you should have various folders with numerical names. Type that number into search engine of your choice, add Steam, and it should show game with that ID on Steam (that way you can easily identify to which game this folder is assigned to).

If you're sure that these mods aren't linked to any specific (and installed) games, then yes, you can clear workshop folder. Keep in mind that if they're linked, then Steam will start downloading mods again.
