Drive D corrupted. Need a way to get a game to working C drive. Impossible update limiting my opions...
I want to play a game that I had installed onto my now corrupted D drive onto my working C drive, but Steam wants install an update to that obviously keeps failing. I cannot delete/move the game from the drive, Steam library's uninstall function is not working along with the ability to move or backup the game files will not work because of the impossible update, and I see no way how to just flat-out install it of the other drive...

Anyone know a quick means to help that does not involve physically removing the drive. Will need to do that later anyways...

From an administrator console with steam not running(ideally, though it might not matter):
chkdsk /F d:
Let it do its full check to confirm that at least the filesystem isn't corrupted.
Then start steam and to manage your library. Pick your D drive and find the "repair library" button.
Then find the game either in your library or on the library manager window and see if you can move the game. Pick C:. However you may have to clean up enough space for it to move there. Thats something you'll have to figure out.

Finally, if you can't move it through steam then uninstall it and then reinstall but pick your C: drive. I imagine you may have tried manipulating this through Windows File Explorer, but notice that steam keeps putting the files back on D:. That of course will screw up the library.

Anyway, if all else fails, uninstall the game completely and remove all of the files that are left behind on C and D and then go ahead and clean install to C.
