Compatible with what?
Kargor Jul 13, 2024 @ 1:00am
Sure is. Not entirely sure what it needs to be compatible WITH, but pretty much any PC built from stock components is "PC compatible" in general.

Nowadays, you might want to check whether the mainboard "is compatible" with Win11, though. Just in case, even if you're using Win10.

the computer itself, if the parts are compatible with each other

Thank you, I'm going

OP I will tell you one thing though, invest in at least a 850watt PSU to support that RTX 4060 Ti Click OC Galax especially if you plan on using over 1080p

PSU's with Japanese manufactured resistors are top notch.

Look at the warranty, the higher the length of time the warranty covers, the better the PSU really is in most cases.

But to add onto this, 650w MIGHT be fine to use for 1080p resolution but worth to confirm.
I'm just thinking about playing in 1080p, nothing more than that, I hope it really isn't a problem, tysm for this, I'll probably get a better one later

Up the ram to 16gb minimum or even 32gb as 8gb is low.

Up the psu to 850w irrespective of whether you are only going to game at 1080p, as it will eliminate any power draw issues.

Misread the info. Thanks for the correction.

Unfortunately I can't afford the price of a better PSU , in my country (Brazil) everything is much more expensive, here it's very complicated, you can't even imagine the difference in value, but I understand what you said, thank you

No problem and enjoy your new PC as and when it arrives.

So this GPU is the 8GB model or the 16GB?

If the 8GB then 350watts is total so 650watts will suffice.

The only thing you will come into trouble with is that motherboard needing a higher than initial BIOS which you then need a lower rated CPU to thus install the BIOS.

The MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 3.4 GHz 8-Core Processor with BIOS version 7C56v19. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, updating the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU.

Notice this specific version (7C56v19) is higher than the initial BIOS version it comes with.

My professional recommendation is to find a motherboard whose BIOS is out-of-the-box compatible or go with a Gigabyte branded board which can update its BIOS through internet connection.

After looking at the motherboard manual, you might be able to update the BIOS just like Gigabyte does through M-Flash - then again nope you need to download the BIOS revision on the website so make sure you can with another PC or even an Android phone with an USB extension would suffice but that BIOS revision is necessary.

Motherboard Manual:

chrome-extension:/efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MPGB550GAMINGPLUS_EN.pdf

Manual Multiple Languages:

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support#manual

You will need a small USB Thumb/Flash Drive with your order (1 - 5GB). Format to ex-FAT/FAT32
It's 8gb

Are you sure it will go wrong? I go to the official website and it says ''Supports AMD ryzen 5000/3000 series desktop processors (not compatible with AMD ryzen 53400g / Ryzen 3200g / AMD Ryzen 4000 G series desktop processors''

When I go to the page where I bought it, it says the following about the motherboard
CPU:
- Supports 3rd generation AMD Ryzen processors and socket AM4 and future AMD Ryzen processors with BIOS update

btw thank you for explaining to me exactly how you do it, if I need it, I will save this now

If you actually used pcpartpicker, or the motherboard support page I listed above, you will see where the support BIOS is for the R7 5700X which is pretty high on the list and the inital BIOS is usually either the lowest on the list, v1.0, or even not listed on support (example v.01)

You need the proper BIOS in order for the PC to post as stated on pcpartpicker and the warning I posted again above.
yeah, I put almost all the pc parts in and the only orange that remained was from the motherboard, well, I believe that I really need to do the procedure, I didn't understand anything about the subject so I was a little lost, lol

The question is if you have another PC or an Android phone to transfer the BIOS file to USB Flash.

Bios revisions are the most overlooked aspect of PC computing as well as chipset driver on Zen.
Yes I have
