Won't let me purchase CoD:Ghosts Hardened Edition

I've been trying for 30 minutes to pre-purchase the Hardened Edition of Ghosts. Here is the error message it keeps giving me:

Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy 'Call of Duty: Ghosts Digital Hardened Edition' which requires ownership of 'Call of Duty: Ghosts Preorder'. Please correct the error and try again.


What does that mean? I have to buy the game for $60, THEN buy the Hardened Edition? Makes no sense...

Yes, I know that. That is the edition I keep putting in my cart. Everytime I go to "checkout", it says I don't own Ghosts Preorder. Doesn't make a bit of sense.
