Remote desktop connection question
When I try to run a game from a remote desktop connection i get a message "Failed to create D3D device!". It also had a link to a web page that told me to update my video card driver. I updated my video card driver in both the laptop and the PC (where the game should run from).

Is it possible to run a game from remote desktop connection?

BTW, I tried to connect to submit this issue at "Steam Support" but I can't log in.

Note that RDP doesn't support direct3d calls so you're basically screwed

Also support isnt going to help you becaus eyou want to use RDP to play games. That's not their problem.

Also your SUPPORT account is SEPARATE from your Steam one. When you have an actual Support problem (and your current issue is not something you should go through Support with) make a NEW account and then create a ticket.

VNC can support games -- I've done this ages back, but you won't be happy as it's going to be very slow (and even slower if you're doing this over the internet instead of LAN). It was more-or-less okayish to use for managing a shop in MMO"RP"G game, but that's about it -- after all, I knew that clicking on "that spot" would eventually open up "this window", even if it took several seconds to actually show :-)
