Achievement not unlocking?

Hi all, just wondered if anyone can offer any assistance with this.

The game in question is Resident Evil 3.

I have unlocked the record (in game) for Kendo's Protege achievement, but Steam hasn't unlocked it for me. The game itself recognises I have completed the achievement, but Steam has not.

I have no mods or cheats, and I've verified all my files. Restarted Steam, PC, made sure I'm playing in Online mode and with Steam Overlay. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled Resident Evil 3 to try get it to work.

I've also logged out of Steam and back in again, nothing seems to be making Steam show this achievement. Has anyone got any hints? I've even re-accomplished the requirements for Kendo's Protege in a new save file, but nothing has worked.

I have, but I've had no answers. I thought it might be best to try here as well there might be a general wider known way to solve this issue, as it is a Steam issue, not the game itself.
