So, no.
"Steam does not return inventory items" Blah blah, THEY SOLD 116 ITEMS, and bought a Dota2 item wtf.
Of Course I want my items back. I'm not the only one who had this issue.
Steam do your job.
You're correct that you're not the only one with "this issue". "This issue" being "getting phished or downloading malware".
You may want your items back, they won't be returned. Valve changed the item restoration policy years back thanks to gamers abusing the old policy.
Is a bad protector then, why have Steam Guard if this dont protect?
Also, I don't downloaded anything or introduce my credentials anywhere, that why I am complaining, the wtf of this case.
So, Im gonna change my pwd anyway, by any case, but this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ low protection. Rn i was cheking permisions and things, but it says that I give permisions to someone in I dont know the country, about 15h ago, wich I didnt do it, Im not even with my PC, and not recieved any SMS or E-mail. So. How the ♥♥♥♥ Steam protect ya'll if they dont check that?
I only felt stolen, I dont even care about that items, but it hurt how Steam, is worst that I imagined.
That could happen?
Ill try what Cathulu said.
Anyway, ty, but still thinking Steam needs more protection or confirmations about listing items on market...
So yes, it's most likely that you got phished. Keep in mind that phishing pages mimic Steam login pages and that even the best can fall for it as it just takes a moment of not paying enough attention.
There is only so much Steam ( or other parties, wherever you use 2FA) can do. Ultimately security is as good as the weakest link. And with everything Steam has put in place, it's us users that are the weakest link. It requires active participation of us, either through using a phishing site or through downloading malware, to get an account compromised.
Yes, it sucks very much. But it's quite vital for yourself to find out where the login credentials leaked. This to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
Do all the steps listed, don't skip any.
Were your items sold under 1$?
