Steam Error -105
I can't access the Steam storepage cause of the error in the title and I have tried numerous solutions to fix it like starting in admin, changing my dns, flushing my dns, restarting my pc, logging in and out, opening big picture mode to name some.

None of it seems to be working and I don't know what's wrong.
I've tried looking for a solution online but couldn't find one that worked and the servers seem to be okay cause my Steam phone app can load the store just fine.

I also read from a few others who had the problem that uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help.

I can't access any of Steam's pages on my browser either. Like it all says the site might be down or may have been permanently moved but I know that's not the case.

I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any tips or other solutions I could try?

steam error code 105?
reatarting your modem or distibutor
a technical problem with your modem or feeder can also cause us to encounter errors like code 105. unplug your medem or feeder ans plug it back in after 1-2 minutes and try logging into steam

I have tried that twice and it still didn't fix the issue, sadly.

"my Steam phone app can load the store just fine."
Thats depend if it use sim card and not own wan lines, there is a diffrence and why own spare pc or friends laptop is a better choise, nothing wrong with use a tablet even but be sure its lan it use and not sim card.

and besure to have ISP sms service, if they offer such.
can save you time and alot of greef, if they are doing it ( its to late now its normaly only get broadcast before planned work start if they even know about it )

Do note Global network is not always so simple, and can give unforseen consequence then ppl get on alternative routes, and its here you can run into conggestion, and its not alwasy so simple to ID and goes away then main line is back. and GL proof such my point is if this is not there next 24 hours , then this is possible the case no matter if this is your isp or your isp partner that doing this.

and lets not kidding out self here sunday and midnight is typical update time to 0500, problem with that is its also daytime for others that could get effect.

and now you get the wait 24hours and hope its this, sure alot of ppl might get andry then they do so, but fat is you do not want this to happend on work days, why tell ppl this, because it make sense ppl know possible midnight planned work. there is no reason ISP dont tell this,
same as car is not have mentaence then it will go bad or real bad , so we adtual need tio know such. and what can you do about it anyway.

you need to proof if this is your pc or not if not conact own ISP if they have still have a issue.
and why spare pc or friends laptop is seen as double check and aviod it your pc that is the cause. ( or any CPE as i used to say ) customer premises equipment

Thanks to the two lads who replied but I found the fix at last.
For anyone else having this problem and was ripping their hair out, you have to reset the hosts file in the Windows System32 folder.

Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc (Yes, the last folder is named "etc")
In etc open the "hosts" file with Notepad. (Make sure to back the untampered hosts file just in case!)
CTRL+A and delete all of it.

Copy and paste this default host file in:

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost

Save the hosts file.

You should be good to go afterwards. I didn't reset my PC or anything after I did this but I did have Steam closed so maybe close Steam before you do this.

If you are unable to save the hosts file cause you do not have permission, you should do this:
Right click the file and select 'Properties.'
Go to the Security tab and click on "Edit."
Click on "Add..." and add yourself in.
To do that, enter your User name in the "Enter the object names to select:" portion then click "Check Names" and it will automatically pick you up. Click on "OK" after.
Click on the new added user and give them full control to edit the file.

Now you should be able to save the hosts file no problem.

AFAIK all with "#" is actual ignored same as rem lines in batch file.
could have start working again if wan lines is up again.

look more like another one of them ISP change or update own network.
sense it work now.

ps.
sometims such entry is also a tutorial in how to do, should not be removed at all, it all depend how you look at it, or have learn.

same as empty file , and then you ask how do i write this crap so it work.
i dont care if you rebuild the file as it was, it's your system, this is more a help to all other do not delete example or ignore lines.

if you have a tech support that paid per hour, the long he had to remake all from scrates tax meter is going up. there is alot of files with example, you dont gain anything with delete such.

see them as example in how to do.
