How to disable Steam popup but keep it signed in at startup?
Unchecking the Run Steam in Settings > Interface disables Steam at startup completely. I want to remain signed in but I don't want the popup.

I only know the one where you click "Remember Me" while manually signing in. But idk about auto-sign in.
I just checked, I already have -silent.
Oh wait, I removed the -silent parameter and restarted the computer and it doesn't pop up anymore. However, the window is still there but minimized while it's flashing orange. Although less annoying, how to remove the minimized window at startup but still be signed in on Steam at startup?

I removed it and it's better for some reason.

In my case it was better when I removed it.

How do I add the "silent" paramteter to prevent steam for auto popup during boot? Would really like it to be like before, just autoload in taskmanager but after the bug update it doesn't anymore.

I don't understand why some people who offer "help" assume that everyone knows what they're talking about or where to apply it. 9_9

When they said to add the parameter, they neglected to mention that you need to create a shortcut to the Steam .exe and add the '-silent' flag in the Target Field.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem, but not glad to see that there's no viable solution; don't know what Valve was thinking (evidently, they weren't). It was fine before the "update" where it would start up in the background, but now having it constantly be the first thing I see when getting to my desktop is irritating.

Valve, not everyone cares to have your software be the first thing splashed across their desktop when they boot up and are wanting to focus on getting other work done.
