With a private profile; make sure you have " I do not accept friend requests" in your name history. It wont prevent getting invites, but it will help getting less of them.
Either make profile public to show this message. You can make games to friends, or private, same for screenshots, artwork, etc. As well can disable comments or friend only can post on your profile page.
Anyways disable notifications.
