Free game kinda?

So I was looking on eBay for some football manager codes and came across the listing for FM20 and it had the code visible and I redeem it since I was bored and IT WORKED now I just have it on my account but the original came with a disc so do I need to buy a disc to play it or can I just play it without

did you try to download the game yet thru steam? if not, try it. most games that have disc's, the disc is useless

So you stole a game then?

Sure the seller shouldn't have left the code visible , but being bored doesn't justify being a thief.

"bored" i doubt that you were bored. but anyway using a serial key what is not yours is stealing, but then again it was the seller mistake as well for having the serial key visible. disc is not necessary seeing as the disc is only installations files with the current version when it came out, which would be version 1.0. Sure the game received various updates since release, if you want the disc, maybe you should buy the disc from the seller who you stole the serial key and just inform them regarding the serial key being visible and you claimed it

No but like the thing is, he was only selling the code and in the description he said there was no disc and you were buying for the code, it was the plain box 💀

Discs are absolutely worthless with games bound to a DRM like Steam. They merely house partial installation data. All that matters is the code.
