Secondary account.
Hello, good day or night everyone. I just made a second steam account and was wondering, if I were to purchase a totally completely different game, separate from my main account, will that purchase or rather, play time/history show on my main account? Or will the history of its playtime stay on my second account. I do apologize for any confusion.

The history of the purchase, play time, achievements if it has them, etc. - they all stay on the second account. The only thing that'll show on the main account is that it'll be on the library page as that just shows everything that's installed on the machine for any account.

Purchases happen on accounts, so whatever account makes the purchase then owns the game. I would generally advise against splitting games between accounts (unless it's putting games on other accounts so the people using the accounts get them, like for chldren/parents), but that's just me.

Likewise, whoever is playing a game gets the playtime on his account. However, do keep in mind that family sharing a game to another account and playing it there will STILL affect refundability -- even though haven't played the game on the account that made the purchase, you can't game the system like that.
