How to point steam to library folder
I just reinstalled windows, and steam. My steam library is on a separate drive (G:\Games\Steam\steamapps)

On the new Steam UI I am having trouble figuring out how to point steam to a specific folder. If I go to Settings > Storage, i can add a new drive, but it defaults to G:\SteamLibrary. I can not point it back to the folder where all of my previously installed games are. Is there a way in the new UI to point to a certain folder?

That folder just calling steam would be the main folder, Just copy the steamapps folder to your new location. Otherwise make a new storage option and select the drive then just move the steamapps to that folder.
This is a question for Support. They can help you with this. Not many people in the general Steam community can help you with file management.

Update: I just moved my steam install to G:\Games\Steam\ following the guide https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/4BD4-4528-6B2E-8327.

This made steam see the library folder under G:\Games\Steam\steamapps

I see you have a solution, but for the original question you'd click the drop-down (highlighted in the image) > 'Let me choose another location', then you'd select the folder G:\Games\Steam
