Task Force devs are abusing Game Bans
I am one among many other victims that have been falsely banned by the developers of Task Force. The only place were we can speak out are in Steam reviews:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/611300/reviews/?browsefilter=toprated
Or in these forums: See RELATED.
Several YouTubers have spoken out as well:
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=task+force+steam+ban

The dev invited me for a playtest and gave me a key for their game. It was revoked immediately after activation and a false Game Ban was issued to my Steam account. I have zero playtime, impossible to have cheated (see STEAM'S POLICY below). They know they can get away with it, it has been happening for years.

Steam support refuses to help, and are ignoring my ticket now. I will be forever marked as a cheater. I feel powerless against this injustice. I'm just sharing this here to spread the word of their abuse, with the hope perhaps something knows a way to help.

STEAM'S POLICY:
Game bans are only designed to manage cheating. They should only be applied to players who gained an unfair competitive advantage when playing multiplayer versions of content and services.
https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/anticheat
A permanent ban should only be issued for your game if the user was caught cheating in your game.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/46DB-4CEC-F7E9-49E5
RequestPlayerGameBan is designed to be used after the incidents from ReportPlayerCheating have been reviewed and cheating has been confirmed.

Yeah, I believe you. I was just saying that the main problem is in the way the whole game ban system is implemented.

I wouldn't have thought these devs were so scummy. They made me DM my steam id. I didn't think much of it. I just hope I can warn others and Valve can stop them before more victims are made.

Fair, and I agree, its too much power for any dev to have. They can ban you in their game, but they should not be able to ban you on Steam visible for everyone.

Taking the word of literally 2 ambulance chasers who have sold themselves out for clicks is not the ringing endorsement you think it is. You might as well be tell us its on the National Inquirer but that would be an insult to the National Inquirer who have standards

Bigfry is very close the top when it comes down to most toxic and negative Youtubers out there, and by judging how he talks and insults everyone around him in his videos, it wouldn't surprise me if his ban was actually one of the fair ones.

Unprovoked bans shouldn't be allowed on Steam.

They aren't. The docs menion only if the user cheated. Valve is not enforcing it sadly.

Do you mention this in a ticket to support?

Surely Valve knows their own policies, I hope? There is no use, they're ignoring me now.

OP's steam account got

1 VAC ban on record | Info
1 game ban on record | Info
14 day(s) since last ban

since the Game Ban is from "task force"

then how about the VAC Ban for 14 days?????

where did it come from?????

------------------------------------------

in other words, OP's Game Ban from "task force" is very obviously because he never close and delete the "cheats and hacks" he installed on his computer before running the game.

-----------------------------------------

multiplayer online games got some form of anti cheat system that the game developers implemented even if it is "early access game".

---------------------------------------

based on all OP's posts i read here, he never mention where he got the VAC Ban at all.

p.s i know for a fact that OP's VAC Ban don't come from "task force" at all, it is plainly obvious.

I have never installed or played Task Force.
The VAC ban is unrelated, its from a game called Depth, nearly a decade ago.
If you'd like to know more things, just ask, I am fully transparent.

I been also contacting Valve and never stopped since last year. Something must be done. I did not accept a playtest, I paid for the game, and I was playing just fine until one day Redline shows up to play with us. He found out I play other games and he instantly banned me. It made no sense what so ever. I really believe he might be racist but that is only an assumption based on this post, this is the kind of developer/publisher we are dealing with:
https://ibb.co/Jq3XxVF
https://ibb.co/SxsKhDK

I even had a positive review at the time, but changed it after the ban. I will never quit until justice is served to that A hole.

also, the VAC Ban is applied on the same day you got the Game Ban from "task force".

do you know what the word "decade" means in the first place?????

it means "10 years ago".

as a result, your reply to my post shows that you are

1) dishonest

2) not truthful

3) giving excuses

4) contradicting yourself and your original post

p.s 2 weeks old VAC Ban is not equal to 10 years

VAC bans stop showing on profiles after year 7. So the claim it's a decade old ban is false.

The new Game ban reveals old VAC ban text. The system is quirky.
