Problem streaming Steamdeck to TV via Steamlink

I installed Steamlink on my smart TV. Desktop works fine but when I try to stream my steamdeck it just shows a green screen that glitches out more the more I input. Messing around in the video settings does change the image, but not to anything legible. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?
