Certain steam games will instantly crash on black screen after start-up. Running out of ideas for a fix.
I wanted to play Tekken 8 today for the first time, but whenever I start I get about a second of a screen flashing, and then it goes black and unresponsive so I have to kill it in task manager. I have had this same issue with only one other game (Remnant 2) before and thought it was related to the game but apparently not.

Everything else works fine in steam and other games.

- All drivers are updated
- Fresh install from game and also steam
- Integrity check done
- PC restarts between any changes
- Run as admin
- Run with windows 8 compatible
- Combine those two
- Change screen resolution from 144hz to 60hz
- Turn ScreenSynch off

My specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
- Windows 11

I don't know what other specs are useful to know but I went through everything with a friend in IT and he made me double check with him that everything is up to date.

I didn't care much about the previous game, but I really wanna play Tekken 8 and who knows what games is gonna affect in the future.

Edit:
Also tried offline mode and deactivating firewall completely with no results

Have you read other AMD post with IGPU issue, then please do so.

It's not an issue with my GPU. The game doesn't start at all.

Why you Run with windows 8 compatible?

I tried it in both normal and Windows 8, cause another thread on a similar issue had that as the solution.

And knowing how people love to just throw out links to random discussion posts, I just covered my bases already

It might be Unreal Engine problem; here you've thread about something similiar:

Before that, try something else - rmb on game in library > settings > add -d3d11 in launch string.

Launch string didn't work.
I followed the guide and managed to underclock my CPU, but it also didn't work with any values (which I lowered until my pc wouldn't start properly anymore). Just to try it out I also tried Overclocking, but also no results.

Also decided to show what the startup looks like, since so many similar issues happen in the main menu, but I don't even get to that point: https://youtu.be/PwSD564NH3g

I've let the black screen run for 15 minutes before, but no changes.
