steam family help

Hello, I was using the new steam family beta, I wanted to switch to a different family, but I received a message from steam saying "Family invitation could not be accepted. Your account is currently pending, so you can only rejoin your previous family group." I got such a message. When I looked at the forums, I got a ridiculous answer like 1 year, what can I do about this issue, I also have 4 steam accounts connected to my computer, but I can't access their games.

Thats normal. You can only switch to a new family 1 year after you joined your last family.
There is currently no way to avoid that. You can always rejoin your last family, that has no cooldown.

Steam Families are intended to contain your immediate family. As who you include in your immediate family can change over time due to growing up, marriage or other events, it is understandable that some day you may need to change to a new Steam Family. Adults can leave a family at any time, however, they will need to wait 1 year from when they joined the previous family to create or join a new family.
As it is rare that a family member leaves the family, each Steam Family slot has a cooldown of one year before a new member can occupy that slot.

Yeah, families are generally a more permanent thing. I've been part of the same family for decades.

We have the same issue where me and my sister made a family without consulting each other and now we can't join each other.
Steam support said that we still have to endure the one year cooldown which I think is ridiculous. I feel like they should be more understanding since they just rolled it out...

A whole year for a cooldown is way too much, if it could've been around a month or so that would still be okay, I like the old family sharing better since you could do that with several friends and do it as much as you want instead of this ngl where you have to face a cooldown for an year. 🚮 feature, wish steam reverts this thing back to how it was.
