Hey guys, I've noticed while playing Helldivers 2, my fps will be 90 one moment and then 16-28 the next. w/ 99% fps being in t he 20's... I have a 7800x3d and 4070ti super that i just built. 32gb RAM, and DDR5 SSD. PBO, XMP enabled and my drivers are all up todate... BIOS too.... help!!

Try the helldivers 2 forums. If there's common issues with FPS dips other players could just mention that, and you might get the picture evreyone sees it.

Other than that the hardware forum might be a better choice if your problem still seems odd and you need to troubleshoot your hardware.

Although re-reading your post it's not clear. Are you claiming you get 90FPS and it dips into the 20s? Or are you claiming it's in the 20's 99% of the time?

my nvidia says 99% fps is 20's. tbh, it feels like it's 50/50 to me. Lots of stuttering due to the drop in fps with some in the 90's and some in the 20's. I hope that makes sense?

I think you may be misunderstanding what that 99% is.

Other settings and the game's overall performance may explain dips and stuttering. And there might be better configurations that smooth out your experience. I haven't played the game so I don't have specific recommendations. But you might be able to find those on the Helldiver's 2 forums.

You're going to want to mention your resolution and the settings you're using: High with X at Ultra and Y at medium. Stuff like that. Are you use DLSS, what are your DLSS settings? (I like DLSS, or FSR).

So it's not clear if you have a problem, or really sensitive eyes. This may just be an issue with tweaking settings.

so when i check my fps it's often reading 90's w/ 99% in the 18-20's on my 1080P monitor on Ultra, high and medium settings. The game has pre-select choices based on each of these. The game is known to be quite demanding but mine appear lower than what I've seen other people showing on youtube with 4070ti super. I am new to pc gaming. I just built my first computer 2 days ago.

On my new monitor which is 1440p w/ G-sync, my settings are ultra on 1440p w/ fps 90's-110's and 99% 18-30's (more often 28-30's). Maybe I don't understand 99% but to me it feels sort of similar to the 1% fps just not exactly the same??
