Can't add new payment method

I've tried adding my mastercard to my account after travelling overseas for 6 months. All the info I've entered is correct and I'm not trying to purchase anything. And I continue to get this message "Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company."
Any help?

I'm having the same problem, went to my bank, checked with them, they confirmed me it's from steam's side, which I already knew because I have bought many games before with the same (still valid) credit card, so no, people need to stop saying that, contacting the card company isn't helping at all.

Yep, master cards are not working... worked when it renewed my dota plus, but then come june, stops working... ask customer's service, gets useless copy paste answers, but still puts master card as accepted payment.

There are tons of people facing this issue since months ago but CS refuses to give any useful answers and keeps closing the tickets asap...
